Phoenix Arms HP22A

First, we have my only handgun, the Phoenix Arms HP22. It's a semi-auto plinker in the .22 Long Rifle caliber. What can I say? It's fun to shoot, inexpensive, and isn't too ugly. I paid $135 brand new including tax and BGC. It carries a lifetime warranty, which is a good thing when buying a "Saturday Night Special." If you're unfamiliar with that term, it means a cheap gun that won't turn any heads at the range. It might turn up some noses though... I don't care, this gun is a blast.

I wouldn't carry it as a primary means of self defense, but as a last resort or just for fun, I think it's great. I give it 3/10 for self defense, 8/10 for fun.

Abouth the safety, er, safeties; It has 3. The first is a firing pin block switch, the second a "SAFE/FIRE" switch on the left side of the grip, and last is the fact that it won't fire without the magazine in. For more on this gun, read this thorough review; http://themartialist.com/0306/phoenixhp22review.pdf
